Overview of new features in the Sarooma absorber database

As a DesktopApp user, you will automatically receive the Absorber database update when you start your Sarooma DesktopApp (from version 2.3) without having to take any action. A pop-up will appear informing you of the update and showing you the link to this page. This page is for your information so that you can see what changes are included.

The product database (Public Data) currently contains:

• over 3800 current sound-absorbing products from almost 40 manufacturers.
• over 80 data sets with acoustic properties of floors, ceilings, walls, windows, etc. based on literature sources and standards.
• over 40 data sets with acoustic properties for various people and furnishings, based on literature sources and standards.

You can also use all product data sets for acoustic simulation in SoundPLANnoise using the export function.

On February 3, 2025, the Sarooma Absorber database was delivered with the DesktopApp update (version 2.5.1) with new manufacturers and new or modified data sets from several manufacturers
